Senior UI/UX Designer (m/f/d)

Your profile

· University degree in UX/UI, communication design, or related fields

· Several years of work experience in human-centric design development

· Considerable experience navigating complex design projects in larger corporates to establish a digital interface portfolio

· Proven track record of owning and maintaining software style guides, ensuring consistency and adherence to design standards across the product portfolio

· Highly experienced in conducting comprehensive qualitative and quantitative user research across various domains including digital product design, experience design, and service design. Additional experience in design research and ethnography would be advantageous

· Extensive experience collaborating with development teams to ensure technically feasible and estimable implementation of design concepts into digital products

· Excellent knowledge of the latest design tools, techniques, and methodologies

· Strong interest in shaping the digitalization of the medical industry and the future of healthcare

· Knowledge of software development and programming would be a big plus

· Excellent presentation skills in German and English

Your responsibilities

· Analyze customer needs to design product visions, product strategies, and the digital user experience for Apps, Web-Interfaces, Dashboards and hardware product interfaces.

· Develop customer surveys, user journeys, service blueprints, storyboards, and wireframes for innovative user experiences.

· Create digital interactive prototypes to breathe life into UX concepts and validate design solutions.

· Plan research strategies, including user testing and interviews, and execute them effectively. Gather key insights and translate them into design requirements to inform product development.

· Strategic and creative execution of the UI Style Guide for the entire BIOTRONIK product portfolio

Hardware Prototyper (m/f/d)

Your profile

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field, with an emphasis on hardware development; an engineering background is a plus.

· Proven experience in the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of hardware technology solutions, including complex mechanical systems and materials knowledge.

· A strong foundation in Design or Mechanical Engineering.

· Expertise in rapid prototyping and hands-on experience with machine workshop tools such as 3D printers, milling machines, lathes, and CNC machines.

· Proficiency in coding for microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi) and basic PCB development using C/C++ and Python.

· Skilled in CAD tools such as SolidWorks and Fusion 360.

· A structured and organized approach to work, ensuring efficient project management and execution.

· Proficiency in English is required.

Your Responsibilities

· Take ownership of the maintenance and enhancement of our workshop lab, including machining hardware, 3D printing, and electronics prototyping, while creating a productive and safe environment for team innovation.

· Drive the development of prototypes for industrial design projects, supporting BIOLAB’s initiatives and contributing to BIOTRONIK's product development.

· Provide hands-on technical support and expertise in hardware prototyping, contributing to the design and implementation of BIOTRONIK’s innovative solutions.

· Plan and execute projects autonomously, including sourcing components and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders at BIOLAB and BIOTRONIK
